Job Description

We are looking for a project manager in laboratory diagnostics who will contribute to the efficient development and management of digital solutions. The role involves both operational project management and strategic collaboration in a cross-functional team working in an agile manner.

You will lead and coordinate projects in development and management, translating business needs into concrete deliveries and participating in planning and prioritization. You will ensure that the work is conducted according to agile principles and establish close collaborations with the business and other stakeholders. The role acts as a bridge between technology and business with a focus on quality, utility, and feasibility.

The assignment aims to deliver projects according to plan, strengthen collaboration between IT and laboratory operations, and streamline processes and lead times.

You are expected to work in a structured yet flexible manner, be self-driven and solution-oriented, and contribute to a positive team culture. You have an easy time building relationships, communicate pedagogically, and can switch between detail-oriented and holistic perspectives. The role also requires resilience, accuracy, and an interest in improvement work. An interest in healthcare, particularly laboratory diagnostics, is important.

The work encompasses several laboratory areas, including clinical chemistry, microbiology, pathology, immunology/transfusion medicine, as well as genetics and genomics.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Documented experience leading IT projects in laboratory diagnostics within public sector over the last two years.
• Knowledge of laboratory information systems, middleware, and instruments, as well as an understanding of information management and processes within laboratory diagnostics, supported by reference assignments.
• Five to ten years of experience in project management in complex organizations, with both strategic and operational focus.
• Strong analytical ability to identify needs, analyze processes, and visualize solutions even where documentation is lacking, supported by reference assignments.
• Experience working in public environments with many stakeholders and dependencies, as well as knowledge of laboratory operations related to regulatory requirements, quality, and accreditation.
• Good communication skills towards both technical specialists and business representatives, and very good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Interest in contributing to long-term sustainable structures for governance and management of laboratory diagnostic systems within public sector.

It is considered an advantage if you have experience with relevant standards in laboratory diagnostics such as ISO 15189, ISO 27000, and ISO 17025, good knowledge in service modeling, service components, service dependencies, and service ownership, competence in IT architecture, experience working in agile or iterative project forms, and experience with Azure DevOps.
